In high school, instead of doing homework, I was on Google Flights. Instead of video games, I was playing with Google Maps. Travel was always the obsession — money was always the problem.
So I got creative. I studied cheap flights, begged for couches to sleep on, and only asked for travel-related gifts. I made it to Italy, Poland, Spain, Uganda, Dubai, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Iceland, and more.
Then 2020 hit. Travel stopped. I got married, had a kid, and the world I knew went quiet. That's when I found credit card points — and everything changed again.
